Some thoughts on the madness of crowds from Gabriel Tarde (1843–1904)
I wonder if this is similar to Canetti's "Crowds and Power" (one of those books I would like to read but have never gotten around to).
Might well be... I've not read Canetti either.
I came across the Canetti book when I saw it listed as one of Brian Eno's selected books for 'the manual of civilization ' project. It's a little bonkers, but if treated as 'literature' is wonderful. Thoroughly recommended!!
